OsiriX is a PACS workstation and DICOM viewing software program which allows you to create 3D reconstructions of CT angiograms on your own Mac computer or laptop. It has been successfully used for planning and sizing aneurysm repairs (EVAR). It is also applicable to lower limb or carotid arterial interventions. And it is open source, or in other words, free.

The ESVS OsiriX course consists of eight themes spread over nine weeks. The learning materials consist of PDFs, CT scan downloads, and instructional videos. Each set of students has an allocated teacher who is available for online discussions and email clarifications. The course is fully online, and can be learnt at a time of your convenience during each week.

Click here to find out more about registration. The course begins on 28th November 2011 and costs €120.
OsiriX software requires Apple Mac OS and does not run on Microsoft Windows.
